Makeup Revolution I Heart Chocolate Eyeshadow Palette + SWATCHES

Hi, everyone! I just got my order from Makeup Revolution and I am so excited to share my review on the Chocolate palette with you. Let's get started!

1. Packaging
I mean ... I don't think I need to say anything about the packaging of this palette, it just speaks for itself. I liked that it is very sleek unlike the original Too Faced Chocolate bar. It holds fingerprints but that is okay with me. I want to buy their other 2 chocolate inspired palettes with the same packaging. One is white and the other one-darker chocolate.

2. Application
These shadows are super soft and buttery. I noticed pretty much no fall out with them and they stick to the skin very well even with no primer. They come with one of those sponge applicators which is useful for packing on colour but I just use my fingers for extra intensity. Nevertheless it is not completely unusable, so don't throw it away.

3. Colour intensity
I have absolutely no complaints with the pigmentation of these shadows. I found them incredibly intense, they swatched beautifully with only one swipe and blended really well.

4. Staying power
As I said before, they have great staying power and don't just fall out. I didn't use a primer and by the end of the day they had faded a bit, but nothing that can't be fixed with a little primer. No creasing as well.

5. Pros & Cons

Rimmel Apocalips Lip Laquer Review

I had heard so many rave reviews on the Rimmel Apocalips liquid lip laquers and I wanted to try them so bad, but I never really got any. Finally, I decided to get one of the wearable shades (Celestial), because I have too many lipsticks and wanted to make sure I could wear it on a regular basis. And that's what happened.

1. Packaging
This product has very nice packaging. It's a gradient between black and the colour of the product which I really like. That makes it easy to make a difference between all of the colours in your collection and looks very cool. The lid has a unique shape, something similar to a non-symmetrical diamond on top of it. It might bother some perfectionists out there and even though I am one (I have some OCD-traits as well), it doesn't bug me that much.

2. Application
I love the applicator of this lip laquer. It is a doe foot applicator with a dent in it which helps to get just the right amount of product out of the tube without having to dip it in again. The product has a smooth consistency and applies nicely on the lips. It might be a little bit harder to apply for some people with uneven lips, so for the darker shades, I would recommend using a lip liner.

3. Colour intensity
Since I have a lighter shade, I can't talk about them all, but I would say these products generally have great pigmentation and look very nice and healthy on the lips. The finish of them is creamy and shiny, so if you are looking for a matte liquid lipstick, they are not for you.

4. Staying power
I don't think the Rimmel lip laquer is amazingly long-wearing, but it does last very well for what it is. The thing I found outstanding though is the way it wears throughout the day. It fades beautifully and I never get that white line that you usually experience with normal lipsticks. This product looks very pretty on the lips even if they are chapped and dry.

5. Pros & Cons

PROS:
- Nice, sleek packaging
- Practical applicator
- A variety of shades to choose from
- Look great on the lips
- You get lots of product (5.5 ml; 0.18 fl oz)
- High pigmentation
- Feels light and comfortable on the lips
- Affordable price

CONS:
- I don't like the smell (it's not too strong though and some people actually like it)
- Might not be for you if you like matte lip products
- Average staying power
- Hard to apply perfectly on the lips

6. Price: 6 Euro
7. Rating: 8/10

Thanks for reading my post. Have a nice day!

Beauty Things I SUCK at!

Today's post is rather interesting and a little bit embarassing (just kidding!). I find this Tag really funny, because it's about the things we absolutely suck at, beautywise. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

1. Painting my nails
This process is my most hated beauty regime by far. I used to love doing my nails and creating different designs, some of which were pretty nice, but now I just can't be bothered. Maybe it's because I am in a hurry a lot of the times or I have just gotten lazier, but I always smudge, chip or pretty much screw up my nails after I've done them.

What my nails used to look like

2. Keeping my hair curly
I guess that's a big problem for a lot of ladies with long hair, because mine is so heavy, that my curls last about 45 minutes at most. My hair is super straight naturally, so that doesn't help either. I have tried putting lots of hairspray on, but nothing seems to work.

3. Resisting those spots
I am going to just admit it. I'm a picker. Being able to wait and not to pick on a pimple is something I don't experience ever. I only leave the ones that hurt alone. TMI? Maybe.

4. Messy updos
I like to think I am pretty good at doing all sorts of buns, ponytails, braids etc. But those curly messy updos are just so unknown to me and I get super confused by them. They look beautiful and I wish I could do them, so I guess I should try harder.

5. Shaping my nails
Maintaining the shape of my nails has always been a struggle for me, because I like them to look a very certain way. I want my nails to have a square shape with rounded edges, but that only happens when they are long enough. They always chip at the edges, so I have to file them down and that messes up the shape.
As you can see, not a great shape
6. Changing up hairstyles
I can do so many braids and interesting hairstyles, but when it comes to me getting ready in the mornings, I blank out like I have never seen hair in my life. I always wear it the same few ways and very rarely go out wearing that new hairstyle I had tried the night before.

Orange face because of the lighting
7. Messy makeup
I always see those makeup artists doing that messy and slept in makeup look that is so popular these days, but I can never recreate it. I guess my inner OCD kicks in and doesn't let me do so, because I like to be precise with my makeup application.

So that were all of the ones I could think of, but I am sure there are a lot more things I suck at.
I hope you ejoyed this post and found it interesting!
