Nivea Raspberry Rose Lip Butter || Review

Today I decided to do a review on one of the most hyped up lip balms of last year. I heard so much about these lip butters by Nivea but I was really late to jump on the bandwagon.

1. Packaging
This type of tin jar packaging may not be appealing to a lot of people. I kind of have the same issue, because dipping my finger in a product and then putting it on my lips doesn't sound very appealing. However, I get over that feeling when applying vaseline for exapmle, because I know it really helps me. Other than that, I like the design of the packaging, it is very cute.

2. Application/Texture
I find the lip butter very thick and a little bit hard to apply on the lips because of its consistency. It's hard to rub my lips together after I put it on, but I don't feel like it has a rich and moisturizing texture. It just kind of sits there.

3. Colour Intensity
This lip balm has a surprising colour pay off and for the first time ever, I don't think this is a really good thing. The colour of it is a very light powdery pink and it looks almost like you put something white on your lips. I would never wear it outside the house, unless I had the thinnest lawyer on my lips. It just washes me out too much.

It makes me look extremely washed out.
4. "Staying power"
I find this product adheres to the lips very well and it stays there for a long time. It doesn't sink in very fast and I don't really get much moisture from it.

5. Pros & Cons

PROS:
- Cute packaging
- Low price
- An amazing raspberry smell (I almost want to eat it!)
- It feels nice on the lips
- Would be a good base underneath lipstick
- Might tone down very pigmented lips
- You get a lot of product
- Smooth texture

CONS:
- Not enough moisture
- A very pale unflattering colour (that shows up)
- You have to use your fingers to apply
6. Price: 2-3 Euro

7. Rating: 6/10

Thanks for reading this review, I really hope it helped!
What is your favourite lip balm?

New Year's Resolutions

So since the New Year 2015 is now here, I thought it's time to make some new year's resolutions.

I don't believe in having lots and lots of unachievable goals and only stressing yourself about it, that's why I decided to have more realistic wishes and include the ways I am going to make my goals come true in this post.

Let's get started!

1. Relax: One of my main goals for this year is to become a calmer person. I tend to get really stressed out over small, not very important things in my life, so I am really going to focus on being calm and making rational decisions.

I am going to make that come true by trying to complete my work in time and making sure there are no factors in my everyday life that I know, in fact, make me nervous or unsure of myself.

2. Read more books: I am guilty of not reading enough, even though that is an activity I thoroughly enjoy. That's why it makes me mad I don't take the time to read more books and I really want to change that. I feel like I am so busy with school and homework, that I can't seem to remember to read and when I do, I am too tired to do it. I just tend to waste my time doing nothing and sitting on the computer.

I figured out a way to make a little bit of time every evening, so I can read some sort of a book. I want it to become a daily routine, just like washing your teeth at night. My goal is to find at least 1 hour every evening, that is specifically dedicated to reading.

3. Be more social: A lot of times I feel like I would prefer to stay at home writing or watching something on the Internet, instead of hanging out with my friends. My goal is to go out more, meet new people and socialise, because only sitting in front of the computer will do me no good.

I am going to say "YES" to more opportunities. I don't want to be afraid to be myself anymore, I became so much more comfortable with myself during 2014, that I am just ready to embrace 2015!

4. Stay active and healthy: I will always try to eat healthy and excersise regularly, but this goal is not about that. I am going to try to achieve a healthier mindset (as I said above) and a harmony between my body and soul. My main goal is to keep doing what I am doing and not letting myself get lazy and unmotivated. I will never diet or restrict myself and if I want junk food sometimes, I will have it. The most impostant thing is ballance.

The way I am going to achieve this goal is by sticking to my dance classes and keep having fun doing the thing I absolutely love doing. I highly encourage everyone to start going to dance classes, because it's so much fun, you are spending time with awesome people and excercising at the same time.

5. Blogging: I really want to get back into a routine with my blogging. I really enjoy posting on here and I would really like seing my blog grow in the next year. I need to be more consistant and post more regularly, but I know I can do it, even though I am busy with school as well.

I will make a few hours a week, in order to write 2 blog posts every single week. I am trying to be more organised and plan everything in advance. I have a notebook for all of my youtube and blog ideas, schedules and lists, so I don't get confused with everything.

6. Giving back: I want 2015 to be a really fulfilling year for me. I feel so blessed and grateful for everything I have: an amazing family, no privations and good friends. I want to give back and do something good for someone.

I am planning on donating my hair and I am definitely going to write a post about my experience with it. Another small thing I want to do is just make people smile everyday. For example, giving somebody a compliment or smiling at someone who is having a bad day. We get so caught up with out own issues, that we forget about the others. I want to bring positivity into people's lives not only in person, but online as well. That's why I have this blog and my youtube channel.

That was a long post!

I hope this gave you some ideas or inspired you to write down your (realistic!) goals for the next year. I wish you all the best of luck!
