New The Balm makeup

I am super excited, because I recently received my order for some new The Balm makeup bits. I bought the very hyped up Mary-Lou Manizer highligher and also the Frat Boy blush and I wanted to share my first thoughts on them, since I've only had them for a week.

First off, the Mary-Lou Manizer. It's a very beautiful and intense highlighter, which I like. I am not one for natural highlighters, because I feel like they don't do much for me and you can't see them at all on the skin. I will need to experiment more with different ones, but I can tell I will really get along with this particular one. The packaging is more than adorable and very practical as well, since it has a big mirror.

I wanted to get a blush from the balm as well, but I didn't know which one to get. Finally I decided to opt for the light peachy-pink Frat Boy. It's matte and very pigmented, so it stays on quite well on the skin throughout the day. I noticed that it goes with pretty much all of the looks I have worn that week. This blush will probably become a staple in my everyday makeup routine.

I dug into it with my nail on accident .. woops

Golden Rose Matte liquid lipsticks // Review, Swatches, Comparisons

Hi, everyone! Welcome back to my blog! Today's post is a review, swatches and comparison of all of the Golden Rose Longstay Matte liquid lipsticks I own. I have 7 on them so let's get started!

The packaging is a standard liquid lipstick component with a doe foot applicator that is flat on both sides. The application is very easy and precise because of the amount of product that comes out with a single dip in the tube.

The formula is more of a liquid as opposed to a mousse like some other brands' liquid lipsticks. They have full coverage with one swipe and even the dark shades apply very evenly with close to no streaks.

They dry down completely in about 2 minutes and layer pretty well when freshly applied. However, if you've been wearing one of these lipsticks for a while and you apply a fresh layer of product on top, it would look very dry and there would be a distinct line between the two layers.

The staying power is incredible - if you don't eat greasy foods these liquid lipsticks last for up to 5-6 hours without noticeable fading and even up to 8 hours with some minimal fading on the inner waterline of the lips. Oily foods will break these down.

Pastel Peacock eye look // Sleek Acid palette

Hi, everyone! Today's post is on a makeup look I did recently. It's a pastel purple, green and blue eyeshadow look which I really loved so I decided to share it with you.

Products used:

- Makeup Revolution Cover and Conceal palette as base set with the matte cream shade from my I heart Makeup Chocolate palette
- Makeup Revolution Eat, Sleep, Makeup, Repeat eyeshadow palette
- Sleek makeup Acid palette
- Golden Rose Silky Touch matte single eye shadow in 206
- NYX Glitter primer
- Essence eyeliner pencil in Tu-Tu Turquoise
- Aliexpress false eyelashes

After priming my lids I used the bright pink from the Sleek palette as a transition and the orchid purple shade in the crease. Then I deepened it up with the Golden Rose purple shade. I put down the NYX Glitter primer as a base for the shimmery shadows on the lid and started out with the light green shade from the Makeup Revolution palette in the inner third of my eyelid. Then I used the shimmery blue from the Acid palette on the rest of the lid, blending it into the crease shades using the darker purple (MUR palette) as well as some black on the outer corner. On the outer part of the lower lash line I used the dark purple from the MUR palette and blended it into the shimmery darker pink from the Acid palette (upper left corner).

Wet n' Wild Comfort zone palette (old formulation) // Throwback

Hi, everybody! Today's post is on an oldie but a goodie - the Wet n' Wild Comfort zone palette. This is the old packaging and formula but I thought it deserved some love as I have been neglecting this palette for the last few years. In this post I'm going to include two eye looks using this palette as well as some swatches.

Lately, I have been busting out some old favorites and playing with them again as a result of my low buy and the temptation to buy new things all the time. This is my way of seeing what I have and love and getting more use out of my older products instead of buying new makeup. I challenge you to do the same!

MY 2018 SUMMER LIP PICKS // Unofficial project pan

Hi, everyone! Today's post is on the lip products I'm going to be focusing on getting more use of this summer. I've been neglecting these lipsticks lately so this time of year is the perfect opportunity to bust them out and play with bolder lip colors.

I broke them down into the following categories:

Balmy lip colors

First off, the Nivea Fruity Shine Cherry lip balm is a very lightly pigmented product with some shimmer particles running through it. It gives a very natural and healthy look to the lips. It hasn't been used much so I'd like to get some use out of it.

Maybelline Color Whisper lipstick in Oh la lilac- these are sadly discontinued and I've had mine for a while so I need to use it up before it goes bad, which is the reason I put it in my Project Pan Roulette. It's a beautiful lilac shade and it has the same balmy smooth texture as the other products in this category.

The Revlon ColorBurst Lacquer Balm Stain in Vivacious has been very neglected in my lipstick collection so I would like to use it more this summer. It's a beautiful juicy raspberry shade with a lot of shine. It has a minty scent that leaves your lips tingly and slightly plumped.

Lip liners
Golden Rose 507, Impala 234
Golden Rose Dream lip liner in 507 is a very pretty bubble gum pink lip liner that goes very well with one of the glosses and a few of the other lipsticks I've chosen.

Impala Waterproof lip liner in 234 is a universal neutral "my lips but better" shade that is perfect for Celestial (see below).

Lip glosses

The Rimmel Apocalips lip laquer in Celestial (discontinued) is also a product that will be rolled into my Project Pan Roulette. It's a very pigmented high shine lip gloss that is very easy to wear on a daily basis because of its natural color.

Essence XXXL longlasting lip gloss in Very Berry - a nice medium cool toned pink that has a very thick consistency which makes it last very well on the lips. It pairs really well with some other lip products in this post.

Lipsticks

There are a lot of Rimmel products in this category because I used to only buy lipsticks from that brand.

First off, the Rimmel lipstick in Pink Blush, is a light bubble gum pink shade that I used to love back in the day. It's too light and too cool toned for my liking nowadays but I can make it work so I'm challenging myself to use it more this summer.

Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 16 is a medium pinky coral shade that I absolutely love! I'm so excited to wear it and rock a coral lip.

Next is Rimmel Moisture Renew in Oxford Street Fuchsia which is slightly darker and more opaque than Pink Blush. It's a creamy formula and so much easier to pull off.

Rimmel Kate Moss lipstick in 06 is a bright watermelon/fuchsia shade which is amazing for summer.

Golden Rose Liquid Matte lipstick in 04 is a gorgeous shade that I've only worn mixed with other shades but never on its own.

What are your summer lip picks?

Please, share them down bellow!

Eyebrow Routine for Defined brows // FAVORITE AFFORDABLE BROW PRODUCTS

Hi, everyone! Today I'm sharing my favorite eyebrow products. I don't do too much to my brows except eyebrow powder on a day to day basis but when I want to go all out this is my routine.

The Makeup Revolution Ultra aqua brow tint in Fair is a waterproof eyebrow gel that gives off a decent amount of color. It's a bit too light for my liking but it creates a long lasting base for my eyebrow powder that I put on top of it.

Golden rose matte eyeshadow in 210 is what I use daily to lightly fill in my eyebrows. It's a medium brown with a neutral to cool undertone that is perfect for my hair color. I apply it using an angled or flat brush, my favorites are the Impala Angled brush №12 and the Jessup Flat Definer brush.

The star of the show, the Catrice long lasting brow definer in 020 FLASHY BROWS, is an eyebrow marker with a brush tip. It's got light pigmentation so it doesn't allow the eyebrows to become too intense or boxy. The shade is very cool toned and not too dark. This product allows you to create hair-like strokes but to also define the outlines of your eyebrows which I do whenever I'm aiming for a more intense brow.
